Here's how it works ...

What is a webcast?

A webcast is a live audio stream delivered over the Internet. Using RealAudio technology, we are able to broadcast our live panel discussions without the need for phone lines.

This ensures no static, dropped lines, busy signals or long distance charges for you!

For a complete listing of upcoming webcasts, please click here to view our monthly schedule.

2.  How to register

To register for a webcast, you must click the register button at the top right corner of your screen. Once you have registered, you will be sent details on how to access the webcast via email.

3.  How to listen

Pick Their Brains live, interactive webcasts are broadcasted across the Internet using RealAudio audio/video streaming technology. In order to listen to our webcasts, you must have RealOne Player installed on your computer. The software is free.

To download your personal copy now, click below:

(Then click on the link at the top right of your screen)

If you'd like to listen to some sample webcasts, please visit our listening lounge by entering your name and email at the top left corner of your screen.

4.  How to participate

It's real easy. You have two options here. Prior to the webcast, you will have the opportunity to submit your question(s) via voicemail or email. The bulk of each webcast is spent answering questions submitted by people like you.

Alternatively, you will have the opportunity to participate in live web chats during the webcast. Each panel member will take turns and moderate the chat room for 10-15 minutes. During this time, you can ask questions and get the answers you need on the spot.

5.  System check

Is your computer 100% ready to access the webcast? This 4 second system test will let you know. Click below to access the test page. (Don't worry, this test is harmless).

To participate in a web chat, ensure that Java is enabled within your web browser (it normally is by default).

Also, you must have one of the following versions of Netscape or Internet Explorer installed:

  • Netscape 7.0 or greater
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or greater
